Rental Opportunities
The best first step in using DCRHA assistance for a year-round rental is completion of a DCRHA Application. You may also wish to review the Tenant Selection Overview or call the Housing Authority office at 508-693-4419.
The Housing Authority manages 102 year-round Rental Apartments across the Island’s 6 towns which serve over 300 island residents, most of which currently make less than 100% of the area median income. Please see income levels on the APPLY page.
In addition, the Housing Authority administers town-funded Rental Assistance Program (Português) for an annual average of 65 households in market rentals, and maintains an Island-wide rental wait list.
The Housing Authority partners with Harbor Homes, the Housing Assistance Corporation, The Resource Inc., the County Manager’s office, the Martha’s Vineyard Community Foundation, and other organizations that assist with rent, utilities, homeless prevention, emergency support and apartment rehabilitation for island tenants and their landlords.
Tenant and owner supports are listed on our Links page where where other island affordable rental possibilities are also noted.
